Cross-Linked Pipes under go a process in which unions between polyethylene chains are made providing high resistance to heat and pressure. That is why Cross-Linked Polyethylene is specially suitable for its applying to pipes through which water at high pressure and temperature circulates.

Cross-Linked Polyethylene Pipes are manufactured using Monosil Technology, that comes from the manufacturing of optical fibre cables, guaranteeing a resistance to pressure 35% superior to the one obtained with other manufacturing systems. This Monosil method offers a higher resistance compared with other systems due to their three-dimensional links between the polyethylene chains, that is, these links are stronger than the ones achieved in other manufacturing methods in which the links are smooth.

In Europe Cross-Linked Polyethylene pipes have been used for plumbing and heating installations for more than 25 years. Each year nearly 350 million meters of Cross-Linked Polyethylene pipe is used , with an annual constant increase to the detriment of traditional metallic pipes.
